OMG It's cold

We had to turn on the furnace last night. And according to The Farmers Almanac, it's not going to be much better for rest of August and September. This time last year I was picking tomatoes and peppers. Not so this year.

It is in fact so chilly that I dug out Bill's Cable Sweater and started ripping it up. If you don't remember, the sleeves were enormous. So I undid the seams on one side and ripped, ripped, ripped one sleeve apart. The thing that pisses me off is that these sleeves would be too huge for nearly anyone. Too long and too wide. Really! And I before I started knitting this sweater (nearly two years ago) I had Bill pick out his favorite sweater and I choose a size based on that. It never even occurred to me that the sleeves would be more like pant legs.

The reality TV craze finally sucked me in. UPN has a new series called Amish in the City. I'm officially hooked. I can't believe it! For years I distained watching these reality shows. Survivor? Haven't seen more than 60 seconds of it at any one time. The Osborns? 20 seconds was all it took for me to turn the channel. But they finally got one that sucked me in. There's a lot of Amish in Northern MI. In fact, in my senior year of high school, we moved and were about a 1/2 mile from an Amish school. They fascinate me.
