Lots of stuff

The soap conference was great. There was at least 60 soapers from around Michigan plus vendors. I bought some stuff to make liquid soaps, so that should be fun. I love trying new techniques.

5th 3rd Bank sucks. My bank was bought out by 5th 3rd last year and they sent me multiple batches of deposit slips. The last batch they sent had the wrong account number on them. So I made my deposit, but I noticed it hadn't shown up online. Much confusion ensued at my local branch but we finally figured out that the money had been deposited in someone else's account. Good thing I have online banking! And that I save my receipts. If I hadn't been keeping an eye on it, I could have bounced checks. At something like an $80 fee per incident, it's not something I want to or can afford to do. Hell, that's a lot of yarn!

I'm finally back to the T-shirt sweater. I got 2 rows past where I had been last week when I found out that I was using the wrong needle size.

Oh, one of the attendees to the soap conference as a young woman (late teens, very early 20s). She had on the most adorable deconstructed outfit and a neat fringy scarf that looked to be made of cotton chenille. She proudly announced to her mom and sister (who showed up separately) that she had made it her self the day before. The outfit consisted of a shirt and skirt. The top part of the shirt looked like a flowered tee and she had put elastic in the sleeves, and changed the neck line. The middle part (just below the bust) was some flannel cut on the bias and the bottom was a woven fabric ruffle. The skirt was fitted denim that flared out at the bottom, at about mid calf length. While it wasn't something I would wear, I was impressed that she was so crafty!

My dealings with 5th/3rd bank started out somewhat bumpy just after they took over Old Kent in Jonesville Mi. but since April Beavers the new account rep. and office mgr. has been in place as far as i am concerned i have never been treated as well by any bank i have ever done business with, she is the most helpful and courtious lady i know.
