I don't like coming up with stupid titles for each post

Dammit! There hasn't been a new Buffy on for like 3 or 4 weeks. Oh well. I've been consoling myself with the Gilmore Girls & Six Feet Under. But I would really like to see a new Buffy. What? This is give up TV Week? Ha. I knit when I'm watching TV. When would I have time to knit if I didn't watch TV?

I've got 6 of the 10 swatches I need for the seam class I'm taking Friday. I'm getting kind of excited! It should be fun. I tried to start on socks yesterday, but, wow, that yarn and those needles are tiny. I cast on and did 1/2 a row. Then common sense prevailed and I realized I really need to finish up the swatches. So after the swatches are done I will have decide what to work on next. There's that sweater I have to rip out because I had the wrong needle. I was making such good progress too. Ack. I'm realizing I now have yarn for 2 of the short sleeve sweaters and 3 pairs of socks. Good thing school is done for the semester in 2 weeks, so I can increase my knitting time. Too bad I'm just starting research for a paper that will be due the last day of my political science class.

I knit and watch TV too! I even have my TV set up as a monitor for my other computer. But I still haven't turned it on! It's been three days, which is pretty darn good. I have a feeling it will be on when I get home from S&B tonight though. We found a sort of book on CD to listen to (Andrew Weil, MD stuff -- not very entertaining but pretty enlightening). I may look for some more books on CD now because it's pretty fun to not have to look at the words. Makes knitting very easy!

Books on CD sounds like a great idea. My reading has gone by the wayside (except for school related reading) scince I've picked up knitting. Actually, these things go in cycles for me. I'll be totally into doing stuff with my hands (soap, cross-stitch, crochet) for a while and then I'll want to do nothing but read for weeks on end.

Tonya - since I can't email you (? what's with that? I would say it may be because I send emails in HTML, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that and you didn't say you were having problems with any one else - maybe b/c I use Netscape on a Mac?) I'm taking advantage of your comment area.
I wrote you a note with the book name (yes, Philosopher's Wool - the book is called Fair Isle Sweaters Simplified by Ann & Eugene Bourgeois) but I'm guessing you couldn't read it (the email, not the book). So, now you know.
Okay, I'm off - I haven't told anyone yet but I just RIPPED OUT all of the work I've done on the sweater. Tune in to see me shedding tears about it later!
